Carol Benchley

A Big Ducks Hockey Fan!

Carol Benchley is the sole proprietor of Benchley Luggage & Gifts and will celebrate 30-years of business at Fashion Island in November of 2007. Carol is a third generation in the luggage business. In 1997 Carol received recognition for the highest percentage increase in sales at Fashion Island and in 2006 was awarded "Retailer of the Year" from Tumi Luggage Company.

Carol has been actively involved with the Fashion Island Board of Directors during her career here at Fashion Island. In the past Carol has served as Vice President and as Treasurer. Carol enjoys being involved with the Board as she enjoys being part of the decision-making process that directly affects the business of the shopping center.

Carol is also actively involved with St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach. She is a member of the RCI Tennis Club in Irvine and a season ticket holder to the Anaheim Ducks, who in 2007 won the NHL Stanley Cup. Carol also likes to travel and has done three dancing cruises recently. Dancing has become her new hobby and she enjoys the social aspect of dancing; plus, all the good exercise that comes from it.
